NihonBashi Tei

One of the Best Bowls of Sukiyaki that ever took the journey to my mouth. I would have to say that NihonBashi Tei's Sukiyaki is one of the beter Sukiyaki's in Manila. It is not lacking in ingredients like the others served in other restaurants. The Small order is good enough for 2-3 people (As long as you order other viands hehe ) The other items on the menu that we tried were also good. The grilled enoki with bacon was very good as was the Butabara. The Gyudon was good and the serving size was fit for a Sumo Wrestler ... or me.

This was a great meal considering this was eaten at 1230 am :) Lisa and i were driving around looking for a "midnight snack" and decided to head to Nihonbashi Tei then we ended up saying ... we are here na rin!might as well order more that a snack ... breakfast na rin natin :)

Tao Yuan

We heard about this Chinese Resto in Malate that has a Singaporean Chef and since Lisa lived in Singapore for a year we decided to head over last April 11, 2010 to try their Singaporean Fare .

The Hainanese Chcken rice did not disappoint :) It was juicy and flavorful. And the Rice was moist and very savory.

The Laksa was true to taste and was the broth was umami-licious

I have a weakness for steamed Garoupa and had to order one when i saw the fish swimming in the aquarium... The fish delicate and it was cooked perfectly. It didnt have the earthy taste that you sometimes get when fish is steames and not cleaned properly. The Soy Based sauce was divine and i was scooping it up with a spoon and treated it like soup.

All in All Tao Yuan was a very good dining experience. It was well worth the drive to Malate. Im just glad that they're opening a new branch at Resort World which would bring their Kitchen closer to us.
